Bio
I grew up in a suburb of Seattle, WA where I earned my bachelor's in Business Administration and had my daughter. Then as I was completing my Master's in Psychology, I moved to Deutschland to be with my Mister while US Immigration processes our case so we can go back home.
After earning my Master's I continued on with my Ph.D. and am now writing my dissertation while I raise my daughter.
I am Two-Spirit, disabled, and neurodivergent in many ways. I'm ready to help pass along what I learned the hard way so others may live better lives.
I love being with my family, with Mother Earth, our animal cousins, and helping people grow. I love growing and I love rest and celebration.
Professional Work
As a researcher, I have consulted on and written a proposal for an MDMA research study. My current focus is on the practitioner’s experience treating Indigenous MAPs and I am working with a team to author a textbook on the pathologization of the trauma response.
I am also the founder of the AUMSTE Resonance Healing model which allows the release of stored traumatic energy in a controlled, comfortable, and compassionate manner so you can get on with life without the constant reminders of what happened in your darkest hours.
In my spare time, I work to distribute scientific information so lay people can understand. This work is my passion. I love helping people learn.
Interests
The passion that pulled me to psychology was psychedelics and plant medicines because they are powerful tools. At the time I started reading research articles on MDMA and PTSD I was acutely aware of the need for options that lightened the load for those carrying the heaviest burdens. Getting to work on an MDMA Research study proposal team was a dream come true that solidified my interest in future work with these substances.
Because of my history, I feel a pull - in my bones - to do work intervening in the cycle of childhood abuse anywhere I can so it is something I have a vigorous passion for. I believe the most efficient and compassionate routes to healing on a mass scale are the same. My work focuses on building resources where the colonial methods have failed in the short-term and turning those structural supports into new infrastructure to replace the scraps we have been thrown.
Energy work is a hot-button issue these days, but to everyone watching the research, with an eye on physics is getting a magical glimpse at the nature of reality. Cultures across time and space have believed in and used energy work. It is a powerful tool that has changed my life so I continue to pursue it with wonder.
My doctoral program does not pay me for my research. If you would like to support my efforts to make the world a safer place, you can donate below.
