Burn bright throught the night

A poem, for the Winter Solstice.

Leave It Lit

The cycles come,
The cycles go
Water passes,
To and fro

As the daytime fades to dusk
We see our place,
In the sacred trust

So as we breathe,
The feeling sets in
Our time is here
To become better kin

When nighttime falls
On this specialest of days
We strike a light
To keep away what isn’t bright

For as we rest
We float away
Coming back
When night is day

And on this night
We take great care
To release our plight
And clear the air

My wish for you
Is that as you breathe
You feel the rush
Of a life of ease

May you and your light,
Burn bright through the night

My path to becoming better kin means honoring the rest this time of year demands, so I will not be producing.

I wish you luck on your journey to honor yourself and your highest good.
